First timetrying fish and chips, and Matthew gave a few recommendations; I ended up getting 2 piece od fish. The batter was very crispy and when I bit into the fish, the fish was very soft. Customer service was excellent and the portions of the food was a lot.

Delicious food. Phenomenal service. A quaint, mom and pop shop with really great fish & chips. It was my 1st time at TugBoat. Got the 2-piece fish and chips, which came with a couple extra pieces including an onion ring! Sauces are house-made... and taste great! The cashier was personable and friendly, and even went out of his way to open the exit door to disabled patrons.

Good food and terrific service. A value find. The Lumpia as well as seafood options.

Pleasantly surprised! I had my expectations set so low (Long John Silver), and I realized this place was different when I saw Filipino lumpia and Korean dishes on the menu! The service was great, food was fresh and made to order. The corndog I got for my son was so crispy, I almost went back to get one for myself! I ordered the catfish and it was perfection-- crispy and tasty.

Soooo good! Came here for lunch and it hit the spot. Rivals places on the coast. Can't be best in Sacramento area. Highly recommended family business.

Really good clean food. We got fish, chicken, onion rings, zucchini and french fries. The chicken and fish was tender, the breading was not to heavy. We got the food to go. The fries were ok. I think they would be better at the restaurant. We will definitely go back. I would recommend this Tug Boats

Drove by this little place and decided to give it a try. What a home run!!! The fish and calamari was outstanding fresh, savory, all around great food. Plus the people working there were so nice. I'm barely leaving and I already can't wait to come back!!!! 100% recomended.

One of the Tugboat Fish & Chips locations clustered in the area (there's like 4 of them within a 5 mile radius lol). Here I got the 2 piece fish with chips and a side order of calamari. The fish and chips were very meh (rubbery fish and soggy under-salted chips) but the calamari was a 10/10 snack (super crispy and not overly chewy at all). Lady at the cashier who also cooked/prepared the food was really friendly. Overall recommend this spot if you want something like a popcorn chicken seafood equivalent (get the calamari!).

Located in the strip mall (Eastbound) before the original Mikuni's is Tugboat Fish & Chips on Hazel! I've been coming to this mom and pop shop for several years now. A birdie told me that they're now serving CHICKEN WINGS?! YUMMMM!!! Right now, offered on their special menu for Wednesdays only! My husband and I frequently order the Fish & Chips, but I saw on Yelp that they're now offering CHICKEN WINGS! Oh boy oh boy were they yummy! The batter was perfect and wings came out juicy, hot, and absolutely crunchy. I especially enjoyed having a beer with my meal as it also paired very well with my malt vinegar fish & chips. They use some type of white fish and it toTally reminds me of the time I visited Alaska for the freshest out-of-the-ocean-caught Halibut fish and chips! Also, FRIED BANANA topped with a little bit of melted chocolate swirls and sprinkled with confectionery powdered sugar was an absolute delight! Not too sweet and just right! Can't wait to try their other menu items!
